Map and Art Contest

Skilled artist?  Good with Photoshop? Most excellent!  You are now welcome to submit any works you have and they will be added to the Maps and Pictures section of the website.  The DMs are very willing to pay a handsome amount of gold pieces for these works of art.

More specifically, the beautiful map now residing in the Maps and Pictures section, (drawn myself, with Microsoft Paint, *buffs nails*), is becoming outdated very quickly.  We require some skilled artists to whip up a brand new map updated with current areas.

This would take a very long time to do by hand I'm sure, since much detail is required, possibly adding forests, rivers, plains, and so on, so it actually looks like a living, breathing world packed into a jpeg file.  Someone who is adept in programs like Adobe Photoshop would be able to produce a rather beautiful map as well with the right pictures, (I personally can't use much beyond Macromedia Fireworks, and I don't have time to make a huge, detailed map).

Requirements:

1.  The map can be slightly larger than the current map in Maps and Pictures, since you'll want to add more details.  But we can't over do it, or the quality becomes compromised when I have to compact the picture so it fits on the webpage.

2.  If the map is less than 1-2 megabytes in size as a bitmap file, you may submit it like that.  If it is larger than 2 megabytes, (likely), then you must submit it as a jpeg file.  I know jpegs compromise quite a bit of quality, but they are small and easily stored on the website archive.

3.  Names of locations should be readable and fairly large, in case the picture gets smudged or squished, we should still be able to see the names.

Prizes?  It depends how much effort seems to drip off your completed product.  Vouchers, QP, XP, and Gold are all game in varying amounts as a prize.
